As of last night, we have settled on the chairs for each of the three major committees. Many thanks to Deb Madey, Robin Greenbaum, and Scott Forcino for stepping up.

As you might imagine, being the Chair doesn't mean these people are going to do all the work; in fact, hopefully they're going to do very little work besides coordinating and managing, and the rest of us who will be members will do most of the work.

So at the dinner meeting last night, we decided that Lucky Strikes Social Media Club would -- for the first time -- organize a REBarCamp for the day before Inman Connect NYC. Rather than having it be individual volunteers, this will be all of us doing this as a collective.

It's a great way to let the rest of the RE industry know, this is our town. :)

Lucky Strikers -

So I'm looking through the calendar to see when January's dinner meeting will be, and I realize that Inman NY (http://www.inman.com/conferences/real-estate-connect-new-york-city-2010) will be from January 13 - 15 next year. Now, as is customary, the day before (Jan 12th) would be when a REBarCamp would take place. Jan 12th is a Tuesday. :)

I do believe we have found a regular meeting spot for Lucky Strikes. Rocco's Ristorante, a Noho landmark, was fantastic (I thought). The food is extremely solid, and the back room they had was ideal for our size group to have free flowing dialogue, open discussion, and camaraderie.

So unless someone objects strongly, I'm going to move that we hold our monthly dinners at Rocco's going forward.
